A classic TP Sumatra, with low acidity, a very thick body and essences of dark cocoa, smokey peat, dates, dried herbs and tobacco. Medium roast.
About Sumatra Coffee
Sumatra is home to one of the most unique processing methods in the world: Giling Basah, or wet-hulling. Because the environment is so humid, farmers hull the beans while they are still very wet, which creates a totally unique flavor profile found nowhere else on Earth. Sumatran coffee is the "wild child" of the coffee world—it’s thick, syrupy, and intensely earthy. Expect notes of cedar, tobacco, sweet peat, and dark cocoa. It’s the ultimate low-acid coffee, making it very gentle on the stomach while providing a massive, bold flavor. For many, once they go Sumatran, nothing else is heavy enough to satisfy.
